Also known as ‘Talking Therapy’, counselling is a process that provides a confidential and safe space for people to discuss and explore any problems, challenges, thoughts, feelings or behaviours that they are experiencing.

A counsellor does not provide advice but will guide clients to explore, understand, resolve or change what is bothering them, helping them to find different and more effective ways of coping or reconciling presenting issues.

Counselling is not a ‘one fits all’ service and is generally tailored to suit individual needs. It has multiple modalities and may be provided to Individuals, couples or groups. Counselling utilises a range of different approaches and therapies and can be applied to assist with a whole range of issues and life challenges.
